It is a bit swimming outside the flags for me, but I am awestruck at what our customers are creating with mixed media, contrasting threads and beading being used to accent and contrast with canvas work.  Shouldn’t be surprised, it is really only a logical step forward.  Think of the embellishment in cross stitch and stumpwork and brazilian embroidery for crewel and embroiderers.
