Bamboo Needles, you asked for them, you got them!
One of the most popular additions to our product range in 2011 were Bamboo knitting needles. These included
30 cm Bamboo Pairs and 25 cm Bamboo Pairs, we weren’t prepared for the popularity of the shorter needles, I thought they would be handy, apparently so did you as we have had to re-order a number of times. The 30cm pairs size range is 2.75mm to 10.00mm, the 25cm pairs sizing ranges from 2.75mm to 5.0mm.
What I love about the Bamboo Sets is that they have 5 needles, had never really considered it an issue till I ventured into sock knitting for the first time in 2010 and thought how handy they would be. It was one of the major selling points for the brand we stock, that and the fact that the 2.25mm and 2.75mm are only 15cm long which is fantastic for those really small projects. The other sizes; 3.00mm, 3.25mm, 3.75mm and 4.00mm are 20cm long.
Responding to requests from customers, this year we have added a range of 80cm Circular Bamboo Needles. These range in size from 3.00mm to 5.50mm and are already looking popular. They are available online and in store now. If Bamboo needles are not your thing, we have a range of Casein and Timbergrain pairs. We also have 80cm circular needles in a larger range of sizes, a range of knitting accessories and 12mm and 15mm pairs for chunky projects. Happy Knitting and stay warm this Autumn and Winter.
Debbie Bliss Rialto DK and Rialto Chunky
Outrageously behind on everything you need to get done in a day? Me too, bet you can’t beat this though. We have been quietly adding Debbie Bliss Rialto DK yarn to our range at Victoria House Needlecraft since this time last year. Actually this post has been sitting in the draft box since then! Today it bears little resemblance to the original piece I started on.
What has prompted me to action is the addition of the Debbie Bliss Rialto Chunky to our range this year, this has fabulous pattern support with it’s own book imaginatively titled Rialto Chunky! While the exclamation mark is my addition, it does stand out on its own account with 8 beautiful patterns knitted in this yarn. The yarn is a lovely, plump, super washed 100% merino fibre.
Currently we have 10 colours in the Rialto Chunky and 7 in the Rialto DK, if you prefer a colour we currently don’t stock we are more than happy to order it in for you. Just ask.
We also have the Debbie Bliss Knitting Magazine Volume 7 (also known as Fall/Winter 2011) available now with patterns for winter in Rialto Chunky and Riva (will be in store next month).
