Spring Song: A XX Century Style Sampler

Inspired by the frontspiece of a 1920 first edition of Mrs. Archibald Christies’ “Samplers amd Stitches”, this delightful collectionof Flowers, Birds, and Beasties would defy Botanical, Ornithological and Entomological classification.  But in their bright clear colours they do ideed reflect a sunny day in a meadow.  The verse is from a Spring Song at the end of Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labour’s Lost”.

Scottish Sampler by Down Under Designs, design size 127w x 199h.
