L’eglise d’Aivers-sir-Oise or the Church at Auvers was completed in 1890, during the last 2 months of Van Gogh’s life, when he was quite ill. It is one of 70 paintings and drawings of the Church and the surrounding village he completed but is the only one that includes the entire church rather than it being a background feature.
